Memoir. aka Jordan Spence is a rapper from Brooklyn, NY. His biggest influences are Kendrick Lamar and Big Sean. Additionally, in his music, you can hear references and nods to ‘90s legends like Raekwon, Geto Boys, and Mobb Deep and more recent legends like Pop Smoke. Memoir. developed a love for music at a young age, with early memories of listening to all of the latest hits with his sister as she got him ready for school in each morning. In the 8th grade, he decided he wanted to take a stab at writing a rap, but was unable to get beyond two lines. Later in high school at the age of 16, he gained the courage to rap on his own, without the need to write things down. Memoir. realized his gift, and so did others at his school, as his classmates began to help chip in to pay for his studio time.

Upon graduating from high school, Memoir. and his family moved to East Stroudsburg, PA. He picked up a job at Home Depot to help him pay for studio time and used his time off to travel back to New York to record with his engineer, Nik. Memoir. released his debut EP, Breathe in 2019. The project is highlighted by the lead single, “Mob.” which he dedicated to the late XXXTENTACION. From here, Memoir. continued to regularly release music, releasing regular singles, and 2-packs including Zack & Cody Pack. with two standout tracks in “Trust No One.” and “Anxiety, Playing Tricks on Me.” Other standout tracks from Memoir. include “Poised.” and “Poised II.”
