Virginia musician, Masego aka Micah Davis is well-known for his brilliant saxophone skills and credits on songs like JID's “Skrawberries,” Dreamville's “PTSD” (Omen, Deante' Hitchcock, Mereba, and St. Beauty) and Ari Lennox's “Up Late.” Though frequently collaborating with Dreamville artists, Masego has also been on songs with SiR, Boogie, YBN Cordae, GoldLink, The Game, Kaytranada, Smino, IDK, VanJess, Kehlani, and more. Masego was born in Jamaica in 1993 before moving to Virginia with his family.

Masego may be most well-known for his skills on the sax (both alto and tenor), but he can play a variety of instruments. He first took interest in the drums while in church at the age of 8. In middle school, he began to learn the saxophone in hopes of impressing a substitute teacher he had a crush on. Today, he can also play cello, trumpet, guitar, and piano, not to mention vocals. Dabbling in hip-hop, R&B, and jazz, Masego describes his genre as "trap house jazz," the name he also chose for his band.

Masego released his debut project in 2016, The Pink Polo EP along with Medasin. The same year, he released a solo EP, Loose Thoughts. He returned in 2018 with his first full-length project, Lady Lady, highlighted by songs like “Old Age” featuring SiR, “Queen Tings” featuring Tiffany Gouche, and “Tadow” featuring FKJ. On “24 Hr. Relationship,” Masego pays homage to André 3000 and Outkast's “Where Are My Panties.” Some more of Masego's must-listen tracks include “Big Girls,” “Need It” with Kaytranada, and “Melanin Man” with Brasstracks.

Masego released the EP, Studying Abroad in November 2020 with the standout hit, “Mystery Lady” featuring Don Toliver.
