Tundra aka Jaden Martin kicked off his career in the entertainment industry as an actor at age 10. He has appeared in movies like After Earth and shows like The Boys. Relocating from Atlanta, GA to Los Angeles, CA, a friend invited him to the studio in 2019 to record a song. Being his first time behind the mic, Tundra was born, even if Jaden didn’t know it yet. After realizing his apt for music and hip-hop, Tundra has been steadily releasing singles since 2020, although we have yet to get a debut project. He lists his most significant influences as Young Thug and XXXTENTACION, and describes his music as “turnt-up, aggressive hip-hop” mixed with the occasional “singing, melodic vibe.”
It is easy to hear the growth in Tundra’s music over the years. Songs like “Play Wit” and “Smack” are fun, but his most recent tracks, “Juice” and “Just You” show Tundra’s potential. After releasing four songs in 2022, Tundra hopes to release his first project in 2023. We expect to hear more great melodies, and for Tundra to continue collaborating with his close friend, NCognita. Once he makes it, Tundra plans to give back to those that helped him along his journey as well as assist up-and-coming artists in their journeys.
