RMR first gained attention in early 2020, when he remixed the Rascal Flatts song, “Bless the Broken Road” on his song, “Rascal.” Though his song explores very different themes than the original, RMR was able to gain over 2 million views on YouTube in just 2 months. Following the song's release, many expected RMR to continue down a Lil Nas X type path, fusing elements of country and rap into the majority of his songs. However, in April of 2020, RMR revealed a different side of himself and his high level of talent when he released, “Dealer” which would later be remixed by Future and Lil Baby.

The recent Warner signee lists his some of his influences as Rascal Flatts, Jimmy Buffett, Michael Jackson, Jay-Z, Nas, and Nelly and says the he aspires to maintain a hidden identity, similar to Marshmello. He released his debut EP, Drug Dealing is a Lost Art in June 2020 with assists from Westside Gunn, Lil Baby, Future, Young Thug, and Timbaland.

RMR returned in November 2020, releasing a remix of Matchbox Twenty’s “3 AM” titled, “The Wishing Hour.” RMR then kicked off 2021 with the release of a new single, “Her Honeymoon.”
