HDBeenDope aka Darius Henry is one of the most interesting young rappers to sprout from the rap mecca, Brooklyn, NY. HD started rapping at the age of 9 and has been influenced by rappers like 50 Cent, J. Cole, Action Bronson, and Joey Bada$$. He released his first full-length project in 2016 with the album, Pheace Be the Journey. After a short hiatus, HD returned in 2020 with the album, BrokeN Dreams at age 25. He exemplifies his range throughout the album, shining brightest on tracks like the hard-knocking, “0200 FDR Drive,” the mellow, “Window,” and the feel-good anthem, “I Love Me Too Much.” In August 2020, he released “Top,” part of the Madden NFL 21 soundtrack which featured other artists like Earthgang, Denzel Curry, Jack Harlow, and JAHMED.

HDBeenDope returned in 2021 with the singles, “21 Bags” and “ReallyMite.” “Really Mite,” would be the lead single on HDBeenDope and Earl on the Beat’s joint EP, Side A: The Preface, released in October 2021. The project also features dope tracks “Wrist” and “Windows Down” featuring Maeta.
