Wes Denzel is a rapper based in San Antonio, TX by way of St. Louis, MO. Wes says that he got into music and hip-hop at a young age, and claims he knew this is what he wanted to do with his life as young as age 5 or 6. Around this time, he recalls seeing the music video for Nelly’s “Country Grammar,” and as a kid born in St. Louis, this was quite the inspiration. From there, Wes slowly worked his way up to making music. When in the 5th grade, Wes Denzel wrote his first verse after listening to Kanye West’s “Through The Wire.” Three years later, Wes built a home studio and started recording. Along with Nelly and Kanye, Wes Denzel lists his biggest influences as Frank Ocean, Pharrell Williams, OutKast, and Cash Money acts Big Tymers, Juvenile, and Lil Wayne.

Wes Denzel released his first full length project, Hide Your Love in 2018. On tracks like “All I Do,” Wes displayed his potential. From this point on, Wes has continued to consistently release music, dropping EPs, singles and full length projects including Every Summer - EP (Must-listen track: “W.U. Need”), I Was Almost Happy, and I Only Get Wild with You. Then in March 2023, Wes Denzel released his best project to date with Late Night in Houston. The project was inspire by his love for Houston artists from Paul Wall, Slim Thug, and Bun B to contemporary rappers like Travis Scott and Don Toliver. The project sees high points on the songs “Tear the Club Up” and “Some Know.” On June 27, 2023, Wes would release the slowed & chopped version of this album, in dedication to DJ Screw.
